Meet Dana

Dana is a San Mateo mom with kids ages 7 and 5. Hire My Teenager was born out of frustration with the current options. Private lessons and tutors are pricey, often $100+ an hour, and group lessons can be slow-paced or low quality while requiring months of commitment.

Hire My Teenager offers private 1:1 lessons, in person, at an affordable price.

The vision is to create a win-win for all. Teens get job opportunities. Kids learn a skill. Moms save time and money.

Dana has 15 years of product management experience at companies including Microsoft, Yelp, and Epic! Reading for Kids. She graduated from UC Berkeley in EECS and is passionate about education. Dana loves trying new bakeries, walking with friends, and watching people parallel park.
